We have four guest cabanas for rent, each with private bathrooms with hot water and showers. One of them (which we like to call our Big Palapa), is used as a common gathering area and has a kitchen and living room, an additional bathroom with shower and an upstairs loft with a queen size bed for two.

Luna Floja is part of the Costa Maya which is an ecologically protected area and is still one of the few places “off the grid” that remain in Mexico. Our electricity is solar generated, and our utility water is rain collected. Drinking water and other amenities are sourced from Mahahual (including Wi-Fi).

The second largest barrier reef system in the world runs along this coastline, and is only ¼ km off our beach. Banco Chinchorro, a world-famous diving destination, is 27 km due east. Activities available are beach games, swimming, snorkeling, bicycling, kayaking or just relaxing in a hammock and doing nothing all day!

The area is well known for deep sea, fly and lagoon fishing, as well as scuba diving. There are many local options available to arrange for fishing or diving excursions for all levels of skill.

From our location we are able to offer an unforgettable experience exploring the wonders of the Mexican Caribbean, the Yucatan peninsula and both ancient and modern expressions of Mayan culture. We can provide personalized touring of sites such as Chichen Itza, Tulum, Chacchoben and Kohunlich as well as the towns of Bacalar and Valladolid and any other spots in the Yucatan. We are also happy to provide transport to and from your chosen arrival or destination airports and or resorts.
